This October, CATÓLICA-LISBON welcomes the 3rd Cook and Health Conference, organized by Ana Isabel Costa and Cláudia Simão, researchers at CUBE, the Research Unit of the Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics, and by Xavier Allirot, representing the Cook & Health Network. On the 17th and 18th of October, 2019, experts and practitioners who focus on the health and societal impacts of home cooking will meet in Lisbon to talk about the vanguard of scientific and practical knowledge on this subject.
This event is particularly special for the way it brings together science and practice, researchers and chefs, to explore the potential of home cooking and the impact of the transformation that is still ongoing in how and where and by whom most food is prepared. These impacts are multiple: on health, on nutrition, on psychology, on socioeconomic status – and they should be studied in this context.
